Interactive Vinyl Mural for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare for the Boston Marathon

Project details: Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare is a New England regional healthcare company. As a sponsor of the 2025 Boston Marathon, Harvard Pilgrim needed a mural design for their sponsorship booth at the Boston Marathon Expo, a public event in Boston where visitors can interact with sponsors and get hyped for the marathon. Comprised of 42+ illustrations, this mural depicts the Boston Marathon route, with illustrations representing notable towns, landmarks, and a diverse set of runners and sideline supporters sprinkled throughout the map. Visitors could interact with the mural by writing a supportive message to a runner onto a sticky note and adhering it to the artwork. The final result was a warm and accessible backdrop that attracted visitors and connected customers with the brand. The mural was printed on a vinyl substrate and stretches 7.75 ft H x 19 ft W.

We also used some of the illustrations from the mural on cheer cards for sideline supporters.
Visitors could customize their cheer card at Harvard Pilgrim booth’s at the Marathon Expo.
